Dr Dan Evans, Chairman

Dan Evans

Dan Evans provides RMDSTEM with expertise in both the global mining industry and professional services. His 36 year international industry career spans Canada, USA, Australia, Africa and the former Soviet Union including 26 years with WMC Resources Limited primarily involved in exploration. He made important contributions to WMC's overseas expansion and his final responsibility was Vice President Exploration - Africa / Eurasia. Subsequently, Dan was a Strategy Partner with Accenture and a key member of the global mining practice. In 2001 Dan formed Executive Compass, a management consultancy focused on business strategy and technology commercialisation.

Dan holds a Bachelor of Science (Geological Engineering) from the Colorado School of Mines, a Master of Science (Appl.) Mineral Exploration from McGill University, a Doctorate in Economic Geology from Queen's University (Kingston, Ontario) and a Master of Business Administration from Melbourne University. He is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Dan holds Non-executive Directorships in Business for Millennium Development, The Summer Foundation and the Australian African Business Council (Vic). He is an Industry Advisory Board member of the Centre for Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship (Melbourne University) and serves on the Scope Board Committee for Risk & Audit. Dan was previously an AMIRA Board member and also provided business strategy consulting to AMIRA over the period 2000 - 2006.

Ken TranterKen Tranter, Non-Executive Director

Ken Tranter provides RMDSTEM with expertise in commercial and marketing management, and consulting services. He has over 30 years of experience, including 17 years with WMC Resources Limited, involved in management reporting to the Board of Directors, business unit commercial management, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and operations management of WMC’s fertilizer sales and distribution businesses. Ken also has senior management consulting experience throughout Australia, Europe, Singapore and Malaysia. In 2005 Ken established his own consulting practice, and has been primarily involved in providing marketing management assistance to a large multinational company’s interests in Canada and China.

Ken holds a Bachelor of Business from the Footscray Institute of Technology and is a retired Associate of the ASCPA. He is a past Vice President of the Fertiliser Industry Federation of Australia, and while working with WMC was Chairman of Westmin Talc in the Netherlands and a non-executive director of Mondo Minerals in Finland.

Dr Paul Greenhill, Managing Director

Paul Greenhill brings to RMDSTEM strong corporate and technical management, chemical and metallurgical expertise.

He has a Bachelor of Science (Hons) and PhD (Chemistry) from the University of Tasmania and postgraduate business qualifications including the INSEAD International Executive Program and the Australian Graduate School of Management General Managers Executive Program.

Paul is a management professional with more than 20 years experience in senior line management and technology management. He has a strong background in the management of research in industry. He has worked with the largest companies in the minerals industry globally and researchers in Australia and internationally in the provision of research services.

Paul has worked with AMIRA for 13 years and for 6 years was Chief Operating Officer and Director Stakeholder Relations prior to joining RMDSTEM in 2009.  Paul led the establishment of AMIRA's international operations in South Africa, Chile, Brazil, Canada and USA.  Prior to joining AMIRA, Paul worked in Comalco Research and Technology.

He is a Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Ian Lawrence v2

Ian Lawrence, Executive Director

Ian Lawrence brings to RMDSTEM strong project development, corporate and operational management and metallurgical expertise.

He has a Bachelor of Science (Metallurgy) from the Western Australian Institute of Technology (WASOM) and an Executive Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School, Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.

Ian is a management professional with more than 30 years experience in senior line management, strategic management and consulting, including 20 years with WMC Resources Limited. During his time with WMC Ian was responsible for the commissioning of the metallurgical plant at Olympic Dam and managed the entire operation for a period of 4 years. Ian has worked in many senior operational and strategic management roles for a number of mining companies in Australia and overseas. He is a past Non-Executive Director of Gekko Systems.

Ian was Chairman of the CSIRO Mineral Processing and Metal Production Sector Advisory Committee. He is a Fellow of Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Ivor BryanIvor Bryan, Executive Director

Ivor brings to RMDSTEM over 20 years experience in the mining industry in senior management, operational, project management, and consulting roles. During his career, Ivor has managed a large underground mining operation at Olympic Dam, successfully led multi-disciplinary teams on resource development projects and has managed the strategic development of mining technology for a major resource company. In more recent years, he has been a key executive in establishing and growing a respected and successful consultancy.

Ivor has a first class honours degree in Mining Engineering obtained from the University of Sydney, a first class mine managers certificate of competency and has completed executive development courses with the business school at the University of Western Australia. He is an active member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Trevor ShardTrevor Shard, General Manager - Commercial

Trevor has over 30 years experience in the Australian resources industry.

Before joining RMDSTEM Trevor provided consultancy services to a range of junior exploration companies. Prior to that he held a broad range of senior manager positions with Pasminco over a 15 year period, including investor and community relations, company secretarial and business development and strategy. He lead base metal concentrate sales and marketing teams with CRA (now Rio Tinto) before joining Pasminco.

Trevor has hands-on experience in Australian equity markets and corporate and structured finance. He has been directly involved in a number of equity capital raisings, asset acquisitions and divestments and takeovers.
