Piya has over 14 years experience in business improvement programs and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt practitioner. Piya has extensive experience in performing capacity studies, developing management systems, capital project evaluations and assessments, business planning and strategic analysis.
Since joining the STEM Partnership in 2004 (now RMDSTEM) he has been providing consulting services to the top and mid tier mining companies, government and research organisations. As Manager - Consulting, Piya is leading the practice within RMDSTEM in the areas of consulting and development of business tools that make business processes more effective and efficient.
Andrew Robertson, Manager - Project Management Services

Andrew leads the coordination and delivery of RMDSTEM project management services business.
Andrew has extensive senior management experience within the resources industry. He has previously fulfilled General Manager positions with BHP Steel Lysaght, Cockburn Cement, and World Geoscience.
Over a career spanning more that 30 years, Andrew has built considerable general management experience through wide ranging functional and whole-of-business responsibilities. He has a history of leading successful business improvement and technology based projects.
His career path has included extensive knowledge of technical processes and operations, financial management, contract negotiations, marketing, distribution, R&D, international business and product development, capital works projects, strategic planning and interactions with government.
He is a strong leader, analyst, negotiator and champion for customer service and employee development with a keen eye for organisational and business improvement opportunities.
Steve Day, General Manager - Smelter Technical Services
BAppSc (Metallurgy)
Steve has joined the RMDSTEM team having previously fulfilled rolls with BHPBilliton as the Olympic Dam Smelter Operations Manager and more recently as the Olympic Dam Expansion Project Smelting Manager.
A career spanning 23 years in the base metals industry has provided extensive operational, technical and management experience with major mining houses.
Steve will be heading up a world class base metals pyrometallurgical team looking to service clients needs throughout Australia.
Ron Clarke, Manager - Asset Management and Outsourcing
Ron has over 35 years experience in the Australian mining industry his invaluable experience has been in Processing and Process Senior Management roles.
Over all experience been exposed in base metal Nickel, Copper, Tin and Gold operations.
